Early Spring Alpine Adventures - Switzerland and France

So what do you do if you have two weeks off before normal life starts? Spend it at home watching Netflix? Sounds alright, but why not experience some of these landscapes you see on the screen in real life? Well, at least that’s what I did, so come along.

If you know me well, then you could have guessed that I would stop at least at one stack of woods.

Even though we went to the Alps during March and the sun was doing all it could, some ice still remained.

Hiking season hasn't officially started when we went for this hike, was nice to have the entire lake for ourselves.

We continued the journey to the Swiss-French border and were rewarded with more mountains, more lakes, more memories.

After making some memories in France it was time to go back to Switzerland, next stop: Zermatt

All these people skating in Lauterbrunnen and I am just here finding some passes that are closed for the wintertime.

The well known Matterhorn. There weren't many hikers around, it is a truly stunning place for sure.

Taking the train down the mountain, off to the next stop.

Zermatt was a blast, but you can't visit Switzerland without going to Lake Oeschinensee. The lift was closed due to the melting snow, which was perfect for us because there was literally nobody around.

Time for a late lunch!
Probably my favorite place we went to.
Most essential thing for a road trip? The right car! Thanks a lot to Jeep for providing us with this little beast.

Probably my favorite kind of picture: car shots from inside the car.

Won't be easy to forget these landscapes, kind of makes me want to move to a different country again.

The weather didn't always play nice, but hiking up that mountain without actually seeing anything was an experience for sure. Guess we will be back during summer when you can actually see something.

Time to head back home.

Thanks Switzerland, it was real and I can't wait to be back one day.
