Pacific West Road Trip

10:27

This 9000km road trip through the US was special. My boyfriend and I did a trip up and down the West Coast before but didn’t have enough time to see everything. To be honest I feel like this country still has so much to explore.

Old VW Busses are everywhere,
a look inside makes you want to own one of these.

Mendocino Coast, the rain couldn't stop us.

Adventure lies ahead.

We started the trip in LA and went straight to Arizona where we got to experience a couple days of sunshine and heat, felt great after spending winter in oh so dark Germany.
If you’re a fan of sunshine, cacti and rock formations: Arizona and Utah are the way to go.
Utah offers incredible roads, we drove for 3 hours straight before we passed a single truck driver on his way to god knows where.

I’ve never experienced such a deep silence like out there. That and the huge rock formations really make you think about how small you are in this world.

After summery sunshine we went straight to the mountains. From summer to winter in a couple hours is really the strangest feeling.
Driving to Mt. Hood, there is so much snow here it's insane.

After all the snow we made our way to the Washington Coast, where it was wet and thick fog never left the pines throughout the day.
As soon as we hit Oregon and California the weather got better. Sweet sunshine again, this time mixed with the smell of the sea.

Car shot out of the Toyota 4runner, so much fun to drive this beast while feeling safe. Provided by Budget Car Rental.

I live close to the coast but this was the first time I actually could smell the saltwater.
Nothing better than breathing in the freshest air you could probably imagine.

So what else does the West Coast have to offer? I could probably talk about it for hours and hours but let’s just say this country still has parts that are wild and untamed, so if you ever want to go on an adventure you know where to go.

Thank you very much Canon Deutschland and Budget Car Rental for making this trip possible.
All opinions are my own.
